Made from cotton corduroy, your cap is designed to go from the water's edge to the café and back. A little care keeps the cord soft and looking good for longer.

– Spot clean first. For small marks, dab gently with a damp cloth and a little mild soap. Dab rather than rub, so the pile doesn't flatten.
– Hand wash cold when needed. Use cool water (max 30°C) and a gentle detergent. Swish it through, and lift any sweat or sunscreen marks with a soft brush, working in the direction of the cord. Don't twist or scrunch the brim.
– Rinse after salt water. After a day at the beach, rinse in fresh water so salt and sand don't dry into the cord.
– No machine washing, tumble drying, bleach or soaking. These can warp the brim, fade the colour and crush the pile.
– Reshape and air dry. Press it back into shape, then dry it over a rounded object like a bowl or a rolled towel, in the shade. Direct sun fades colour over time.
– Refresh the pile. Once dry, brush lightly with a soft brush in the direction of the cord to lift it back up.
– Don't iron. If it needs a refresh, hold a steamer a few centimetres away instead.
– Store it in shape. Keep it somewhere it won't be crushed, as pressure can leave marks in the cord.

Cotton corduroy softens and develops character with wear. That's part of its charm.

NZ Customs do not collect any duty, fees or GST upon arrival in New Zealand unless the value of your shipment is over NZ$1,000. These charges are payable upon arrival to the local government by the customer and are not included in the original purchase price or shipping charges.

We reliably ship to the US. All tariffs and customs duties are paid by us so you won't have to pay anything to receive your parcel.

International Shipping All Other Countries

·       All orders are shipped internationally from Sydney, Australia via courier to all countries excluding Russia

·       If you do not live in Australia, please be aware of any import duties and taxes that may be charged on delivery to your country (US tariffs are paid by us when we ship - New Zealand also doesn't charge for orders under $1000)

·       Duties and taxes will be based on the value of the order and the tax-free threshold (if it exists) for goods imported.

·       These charges depend on your country’s import legislation and will not be covered by NALUKA.
